We can’t wait to help our guests be a part of life here, joining the chefs to bake bread for dinner, gathering homegrown flowers with the gardening team or feeding the animals with the farmers. These experiences will be included in your stay, but there is never any expectation; if you would prefer to relax in your suite or enjoy the peace of the estate, our hosts are on hand to discretely serve everything you might need.

We sit in the foothills of Dartmoor National Park. With its rolling moorland, gin-clear lakes and rare fauna, it is a place often described as England’s last frontier.
In the other direction, the rugged South Devon coast, with its wild beaches, coast path and enchanting fishing communities, is less than ten miles away.

The Fowlescombe experience begins well before you arrive. Ahead of your visit, our hosts will take the time to get to know you, sketching a bespoke itinerary that showcases our unique surroundings, based on your skills, interests and goals
We will go through it together when you arrive, refining it here in the Map Room. We’re always on hand to add the extra touch to your time in Devon, whether that means jotting down our favourite trails, putting you in touch with a coastal foraging expert – or just giving you a lift to the pub.
