Summer brings new beginnings to the farm and we are delighted to share one of the most exciting. On the 1st July 2025, we welcome Elly Wentworth as our executive chef.
Elly brings with her a natural, instinctive talent, honed in some of our region’s most renowned kitchens; most recently The Angel in Dartmouth. A familiar face to many, Elly is known for her precise yet honest approach to cooking, something that has been professionally recognised in her achievements as a finalist on MasterChef: The Professionals and in representing the South West three times on the Great British Menu.
Elly has a genuine passion and energy that is infectious. Her appreciation for local produce marries seamlessly with our sustainable farm-to-fork ethos at Fowlescombe Farm; she will cook in harmony with the land, drawing directly from our gardens, fields and woodlands in menus that are ever-changing and always seasonal.
Under her gaze, meals in the Refectory will continue to be a celebration of true provenance, and of the magic that happens when you harness what is beautiful and available at this very moment in time.
With Elly at the helm, we’ll continue to tell the story of Fowlescombe through food. We cannot wait to taste what comes next.
